Q: I don't even live in PA. Can I still post here?
A: Sure, this is a general fly fishing board any question or comment that may be of interest to the users of this board is welcome. (But please nothing totally off the wall.)
Q: Do I have to register?
A: NO!!! This entirely free and no strings attached. No E-mail addresses included in posts will be used for bothersome Spam.
Q: Do I have to leave a real e-mail address?
A: No, but in certain situations it would be wise to include one so that others know that you are sincere and are not trying to hide behind anonymity.
Q: What is all this all this link and image URL stuff?
A: These allow you to post images and links with you posts! To add a link type the web address into the "Link URL" text box. Then type a title for the link in the "Link Title" text box (such as "My site" or just the web address, "NcFlyFish.com". )
For posting images, the image you would like to show needs to be on and existing web site. Right click the image, then click properties, then highlight the URL (web address) and right click on the highlighted text and choose copy. Finally paste this text into the text box and you're all set!
Q: I wanted to post MY pictures but I don't have a web site. Web sites are pretty complicated so I guess I'm out of luck, huh?
A: No you're not. You do not need an actual web site like this one to put your pictures on before posting them on this board. Go to www.eboard.com, they will give you free web page that is pretty much all set up except for you pictures. Just bring up your eboard.com site on your browser and go to post/edit mode and your all set, just upload your pictures onto a "note" you have created. (If you need more help go to their main web site or e-mail me.)
Q: Why aren't there many posts here? Why would I want to post on a "dead" board?
A: It won't be dead for long if we all take some time and drop a little note of advice to someone in need.
All posts are subject to my scrutiny. If I feel a post is inappropriate it will be deleted.
Examples:
Spam - Of any kind. If someone ask for a good place to purchase goods or service and a business is recommended or if it is offered by a business person, that is totally acceptable.
Inappropriate photos or text (You know what I mean)
Trolls - Any direct personal attacks or posts that offend or anger all or some users of this board are totally unacceptable. (For examples of trolls go to www.pittsburghpenguins.com and visit the board there)
Banning:
If you are a repeat offender you may just get banned, yes we can do that.
