Stream Conditions

Weather:
Water: low and clear
Flies: beetles, ants, and egg patterns
Drove up early Sat morning. Fished from 8AM to 2PM. As the day warms up, more and more fish become visible. Sporadic rises, but could see them feeding sub-surface. Interestingly enough the only one I pulled in was a brown in the 15" to 16" range on a beetle. Lost a few that seemed to be bumping the fly rather than taking it, or at least spitting it out very fast. Most of the fish seem to be congregating in the area right behind the fly shop. Have moved up and down stream over the last few weeks with almost no fish visible and definetly no action. It's funny how other fisherman move in right on top of you, leaving you no room to fish are even cast. I was actually hit by two backcasts from the left, while a guy with a spinning rod came over and starting casting right in front of me. The worst part the guy with the spinning rod got most of the action.
