Stream Conditions

Weather: cold and breezy
Water: clear
Flies: beetles, ants, and egg patterns
Typical weekend crowd. Lots of fish visible, but they didn't seem to be feeding, although there were sporadic rises. Fished from 10 to 3 and once again tried everything in the box. Spent a lot of time changing flies and untangling wind knots.(maybe I shouldn't admit that) My fiancee caught a nice 12" Bow on an egg pattern. All the action I saw was with either a beetle or ant. Lost a couple, but still reeled in a 9" bow and 15" brown. The brown was easily the biggest trout I've caught there yet and a great end to perfect day. Also snuck out there on Thursday for a couple of hours. Condition were very similar, but warmer and not as crowded. Only caught one good size Bow on a #14 Adams. Is there anything better than catching a beautiful, good sized trout on a dry fly? I think not!
